Woodstock’s Luxury Shift

With the rapidly expanding city of Woodstock, it means that more luxury homes and apartments are needed to keep the citizens of the city happy where they live. With the warm weather already here, it means more people outdoors, more shopping centers, and more luxury houses are on the rise. The city is now seeing $50M in active public capital projects and another $210M in private construction value reinforcing roads, utilities, and core systems citywide, which is now the largest building session ever in the city.

The metro city of Atlanta is now one of the most desirable places to live in the state of Georgia. While there are over 500 cities in the state, Woodstock is now one of the 30 largest cities in the state and that will continue to rise, with the rapidly fast population and construction going around. While now the city generates 40% of Cherokee County’s GDP on just 3% of the land that is provided by the city. Stacy Brown, the Marketing and Communications Manager of the city of Woodstock, has this to talk about the city’s rapid growth. “We are intentional about creating and maintaining the City's authentic and connected culture through incredibly popular citywide events like the Woodstock Summer Concert Series, development in our walkable, vibrant downtown, and investment in our parks and trails.”

The rapid growth is not going unnoticed by the media either. WSB-TV has ranked the city of Woodstock #13 of the 20 Most Affordable Cities in Georgia to Buy a House. Jef Moon, the City Manager of the city of Woodstock, says this about the rapid growth and how the city can handle the growing community. “Every new development undergoes a thorough infrastructure review. Combined with the unprecedented level of public investment underway today, we’re making sure Woodstock’s systems stay strong enough to support our growing community well into the future.”

Micheal Caldwell, the Mayor of Woodstock, mentions that he wants to make sure that Woodstock maintains that home feel, and that he wants people to continue moving into the city so that the community can grow. “Innovation, opportunity, and a spirit of bold ambition have found a home here,” Mayor Micheal Caldwell stated. “We remain the sought-after home of go-getters and dreamers throughout the region."

With the new roads, new luxury houses, and the new parks being built in the city, Woodstock is making sure that they stay in the small community atmosphere that is not just the mayor, but the citizens do as well. The culture of the city will always strive to stay the same as it always has been.
